JEFFERSON CITY, MO, FEB. 15, 2023 – Ever wonder about the art in the Senate chamber and lounge at the Missouri Capitol? Now’s your chance to learn more. Join local historian Henry Gensky at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, as he discusses the artwork of Richard Miller. Miller’s artwork includes the four largest paintings in the Senate chamber, the second-floor painting above the governor’s elevator, as well as the stained-glass window he designed. Gensky will also discuss the tapestries in the Senate lounge.

The Missouri State Museum’s “Landing after Hours” program is held monthly on the first Wednesday at the Jefferson Landing State Historic Site, 100 Jefferson St. in Jefferson City. Doors of the Lohman Building classroom open at 6:30 p.m. and the presentation begins at 7 p.m. Convenient parking is available in the lot next to the Lohman Building.
