The Missouri Department of Natural Resources prepared a Statement of Basis in support of a proposed cleanup plan for the Doe Run Co. Herculaneum Smelter site. The department invites the public to review and offer written comments on the proposed cleanup until Nov. 10, 2025. The department, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and The Doe Run Co. will hold a public meeting about the proposed cleanup and redevelopment plans on Oct. 23, 2025.
