Missouri-American Water Co. applied for authorization to either discharge to waters of the state, or to operate a no-discharge wastewater treatment facility. The department proposed to issue a Missouri State Operating Permit for their Saddlebrooke Wastewater Treatment Facility, subject to certain effluent limitations, schedules and special conditions. The department invited the public to review and offer written comments on the proposed permit conditions until Aug. 11, 2025.
