The village of Benton City, Missouri, is requesting bids for Benton City Wastewater Treatment Facility Land Application. Sealed bids will be received by Klingner and Associates, P.C. 4501 Paris Gravel Road, Hannibal, Missouri, 63401, until 10:00 a.m. local time on July 15, 2025, at which time the bids received will be publicly opened and read aloud. The envelopes containing the bids must be sealed, addressed and designated as BIds for the Wastewater Collection System Improvements, Attn: Mayor.

The work in general consists of center pivot irrigation equipment, irrigation floating pumpstation, electrical and controls, inner berm modifications, air release valve and vault, gravel access road improvements, manhole and effluent control structure modifications.

Obtaining the Bidding Documents

Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website.

Instructions to Bidders

No pre-bidding conference will be held.

Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order Number 11246. Requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are explained in the specifications. This project 
is being financed through the Missouri State Revolving Fund, established by the sale of Missouri Water Pollution Control bonds and federal Capitalization Grants to Missouri.

A certified check or bank draft, payable to the order of Village of Benton City, Missouri, negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value) or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the Bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each Bid.

This project is being financed through the Missouri State Revolving Fund, established by the sale of 
Missouri Water Pollution Control bonds and federal Capitalization Grants to Missouri.

Attention is called to the fact that no less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex or national origin. The Village of Benton City, Missouri reserves the right to reject any or all Bids or to waive any informality in the bidding. Bids may be held by Village of Benton City, Missouri for a period not to exceed 90 days from the date of the opening of Bids for the purpose of reviewing the Bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the Contract.
