The Little Blue Valley Sewer District is requesting bids for the Middle Big Creek Interceptor Extension Phase 2 project. Sealed bids may be submitted at the Little Blue Valley Sewer District located at 21208 E. Old Atherton Road, Independence, MO 64058, until Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. local time. At that time, all bids received will be publicly opened and read.
The approximate project location is between Lake Winnebago and Pleasant Hill, Missouri. The project consists, in part, of the following:
- Procure and construct approximately 17,350 linear feet of 36-inch gravity interceptor pipe and all associated 28 manholes
- Construct a 12.5-foot by 10.5-foot junction box and slide gate
- Subgrade improvements for pipe bedding and manholes as indicated or as required by site conditions
- Construct and upgrade permanent access paths
- Restore all agricultural fields, stream banks and wetland areas impacted by construction as indicated by Contract Documents
This project is financed through the Missouri State Revolving Fund and federal Capitalization Grants to Missouri. Neither the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, its divisions, nor its employees will be party to the contract at any tier.

Instructions to Bidders
A mandatory Pre-Bid Conference will be held Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. local time at the Pleasant Hill Memorial Building, 212 Cedar St., Pleasant Hill, Missouri. Following the meeting an optional site visit will be offered to prospective bidders.
