The Missouri-American Water Co. (MAWC) is requesting proposals for services to complete a lead service line inventory. All communication and correspondence during the bidding and evaluation time frame should be submitted to Annette Meyerkord at AnnetteMeyerkord@amwater.com or 303-489-2776

Please submit the required documents online (via Coupa) as described in the Request for Bid below by Monday, May 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Conditional proposals will not be accepted.

This project is financed through the Missouri State Revolving Fund, by the Water and Wastewater Loan Revolving Fund and federal Capitalization Grants to Missouri.

Request for Proposals

MAWC is developing a water service line material inventory for both the utility owned and customer owned portions of the service line in compliance with EPA’s Revised Lead and Copper Rule. You are invited to furnish a proposal for performing lead service line investigation for the following Public Water Systems as called out for according to the technical documents:

  1. MO American Northern Jefferson City
  2. MO American Lake Carmel
  3. MO American Maplewood (Sedalia)
  4. MO American Pom-O-Sa Heights (Warsaw)
  5. MO American Redfield (Eugene)
  6. MO American Smithton
  7. MO American Wardsville
  8. MO American Warrensburg

The successful bidder will review existing records, perform inside investigations, perform potholing and update records in asset management software (MapCall) for the listed Public Water Systems. To be considered, bidders must include the attached price schedule and diversity questionnaire as part of his proposal, which must be submitted online (via Coupa) before the close of the sourcing event. Awarded contractor will need to become an approved MWAC contractor, if not already an approved contractor.

Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order Number 11246. Requirements for bidders and contractors under this order are further explained at the link provided below. Each city is an Equal Opportunity Employer and invites the submission of proposals from Woman and Minority Business Enterprises.

The appropriate state and federal wage rates are applicable to this project.
