On Dec. 9, 2023, Lone Star Industries Inc., doing business as Buzzi Unicem USA, submitted a Class 2 Permit modification request to the department, requesting to modify its hazardous waste permits. Lone Star is proposing revisions to its Waste Analysis Plan to clarify the criteria for evaluating whether a fuel stream can provide reasonable heating value before accepting the fuel at the facility.
This meeting is an opportunity for the public to ask questions about the permit modification request, share information and discuss issues with facility staff.
