The department proposes to issue a variance for the Perryville School Street Lift Station. The department invites the public to review and offer written comments on the proposed variance conditions. All comments must be received or postmarked by April 7, 2023. This date is an extension from the original date of March 27, 2023. The public can review the proposed variance conditions below.

The School St. Lift Station serves a sizeable area on the western side of the city of Perryville. Both the lift station and the force main have reached the end of their useful life. The proposed project is replacement and upgrade to meet current and future demands and correct sanitary sewer overflows and basement back-up issues in the area. The proposed lift station includes two pumps, each sized to handle the 20-year design peak hourly flow of 319 gallons per minute, a pump stand and station piping for a future third pump, a portable pump connection and an alarm system.
