The Missouri businesses listed below recycle or refurbish electronic equipment. This list contains only Missouri businesses that have registered with the department. This list is not intended as an endorsement, certification or warranty to any company or product by or from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
When a Missouri e-cycling business registers with the department, they choose to register at one of four levels. As the tier levels increase, so do the recycler's commitment to follow specific standards. We indicate the businesses registration level by the "L" number next to their name. For more information about the tiered levels, contact the department's Waste Management Program.
The department encourages all electronics recyclers to become certified by demonstrating to an accredited, independent third-party auditor that they meet specific standards to safely recycle and manage electronic waste. The department adopted the R2:2013 - The Responsible Recycling ("R2") Standard for Electronics Recyclers (2014), R2:2013 - R2 Code of Practices: R2 Certification Process Requirements (2013) and Formal Interpretation #1.0 (2017), as standards for recycling or refurbishing electronic equipment. These documents were issued by the Sustainable Electronics Recycling International (SERI), the housing body and ANSI-accredited Standards Development Organization for the R2 Standard.
If you have unwanted electronics that you would like to recycle, you can sort the list below to find a recycler near you. For information about each recycler, simply click on the businesses name to be directed to their website, if they have one. If you would prefer, or if there is not a business listed in your area, you can participate in a collection event hosted by your city, county or solid waste management district. When notified by the event organizers, the department displays electronics collection events on the department's calendar.
