JEFFERSON CITY, MO, OCT. 16, 2021 – Staff members at Missouri State Museum invite the public to join the Missouri Monster in its lair for some Halloween fun at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30 on the Missouri State Museum Facebook page: facebook.com/MissouriStateMuseum.
Museum staff will be reading traditional American scary stories from Alvin Schwartz’s “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark” as well as some Ozarks-based stories and the story of Missouri’s own Bigfoot-like cryptid, the Missouri Monster.
The Missouri State Museum, which is part of the Missouri State Parks system, is located on the first floor of the Missouri state Capitol. For more information about the event, call the museum at 573-751-2854.
