JEFFERSON CITY, MO, NOV. 15, 2021 –  Staff members at the Missouri State Museum invite the public to attend their virtual program about Jesse James, Missouri’s outlaw son, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 1 on the Missouri State Museum Facebook page:

Museum staff will take an in-depth look into Missouri’s most famous outlaw, from his origins in the Bleeding Kansas border counties to his last days among the ordinary citizens of St. Joseph. Separating fact from fiction, they will uncover the truth behind the perennial legend that is Jesse James. One of the most successful bank robbers to strike America's heartland in years following the Civil War, James is considered by many to be the last fighter of the war.

The Missouri State Museum, which is part of the Missouri State Parks system, is located on the first floor of the Missouri Capitol. For more information about the event, call the museum at 573-751-2854.
