JEFFERSON CITY, MO, FEB. 29, 2024 – The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will hold a virtual meeting at 2 p.m., March 6, to provide an opportunity for the public to comment on an anticipated proposed rulemaking related to home energy auditor certification. The link to join the meeting is available online at dnr.mo.gov/calendar/event/251266.

The primary purpose of this proposed rulemaking is to codify the department’s process for certifying qualified home energy auditors under Section 640.153, RSMo. The proposal under consideration would add language to the Code of State Regulations describing the department’s current application requirements, the period of certification validity, and the reasons why a certification may be revoked.

The department will provide background information on the rulemaking and offer an opportunity for verbal comments. The meeting will be held via Webex from 2 to 3 p.m. or until all verbal comments are received. A phone-in option is also available by dialing 1-650-479-3207; use access code 2633-343-6083.
