JEFFERSON CITY, MO, DEC. 22, 2021 –  The 2022 “Landing After Hours” series opens with a true crime tale from the host and creator of "Show Me Murder," Michael Lear. The doors open at 6:30 p.m with the program running from from 7-8 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 5.

On May 10, 1894, a farmer found the bodies of the Meeks family buried under a haystack. Follow the story of the crime, the relentless pursuit of the perpetrators and the remarkable young girl who survived the attack and helped take down two career criminals.

This program will be held in person at Jefferson Landing State Historic Site and livestreamed on the Missouri State Museum’s Facebook page: facebook.com/MissouriStateMuseum/.

The Missouri State Museum’s “Landing After Hours” events are held the first Wednesday of each month. Jefferson Landing State Historic Site is located at 100 Jefferson St. in Jefferson City.  For more information about the event, call the Missouri State Museum at 573-751-2854.
