JEFFERSON CITY, MO, SEPT. 23, 2021 – The team at Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site invites children of all ages to 1860s Children’s Day from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn what life was like in the 1860s by participating in common time period activities, such as washing clothes with a washboard, dipping candles, walking on stilts and more.

This event is free and open to the public.

The public is strongly encouraged to follow social-distancing guidelines and be proactive in protecting themselves and others.
