JEFFERSON CITY, MO, AUG. 27, 2018 - On Friday, Governor Mike Parson met with northwest Missouri officials to discuss the drinking water shortage. The governor continued his commitment to finding solutions to ease the impact of the drought by announcing that more than $77,000 in state funding will be awarded to assist the drought-stricken City of Cameron and Caldwell County Public Water Supply Number 2. The Missouri Department of Natural Resources will award emergency drought assistance grants of $50,000 to Cameron and $27,380 to Caldwell County Public Water Supply District Number 2.
