JEFFERSON CITY, MO, SEPT. 13, 2021 – Cuivre River State Park staff members invite the public to World Bird Sanctuary's Raptor Awareness program featuring birds of prey, such as falcons, hawks, owls and vultures at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18. Participants will see many species of raptors, learn a vulture's secret weapon and learn how to identify a bird of prey in the wild. Participants will enjoy an up close view as some of the birds soar right overhead.
This program will take place in the large field at Camp Sherwood, located within Cuivre River State Park. Follow the "Special Event" directional signs when you enter the park. Bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on – visitors must be seated during the show. This program is free and open to the public.
