JEFFERSON CITY, MO, NOV. 6, 2018 - The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has approved $2.75 million in financial assistance to the Center Creek 201 Wastewater Treatment Board to upgrade its wastewater treatment infrastructure. The funding is provided through a Clean Water State Revolving Fund low-interest loan, which is expected to save an estimated $1 million in interest over the loan’s 20-year term.
Center Creek’s project is designed to improve the system’s wastewater treatment capability and provide additional capacity for future needs. To complete the project, the board will also use more than $1 million from other fund sources and will be responsible for any additional costs. The project is estimated to cost a total of $3,757,828 and is expected to be complete by January 2020.
The Department of Natural Resources provides funding to communities throughout Missouri for wastewater and drinking water infrastructure needs. This project will be funded wholly or in part with monies received from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
