JEFFERSON CITY, MO, SEPT. 20, 2021 – Representatives from Missouri State Parks invite the public to attend an informational meeting at Battle of Pilot Knob State Historic Site on Saturday, Oct. 2. The meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the day-use pavilion. The public meeting will be followed by a family program at 6 p.m. where kids will get to assemble a tool/garden box to take home. At 7 p.m., there will be a family movie night showing the Halloween-themed movie, "Goosebumps" for the public to enjoy. Representatives will also provide updates on Elephant Rocks State Park.

The public is invited to share comments and ask questions about the site/park and their operations. Representatives from the site/park will be present to provide information and to answer questions.

Input from the public is important to Missouri State Parks. These informational meetings, which are being held in all state parks and historic sites, help create two-way communication with the public. The meetings give staff the opportunity to let people know the current status and future plans for the park or historic site, and they offer visitors the opportunity to comment on the facilities.
