JEFFERSON CITY, MO, SEPT. 14, 2021 – Battle of Athens State Historic Site staff members invite the public to stop by and view the Missouri State Parks commemorative bicentennial quilts on Wednesday, Sept. 22 and Thursday, Sept. 23. Missouri State Parks staff and volunteers created two quilts to tell a visual story of Missouri for its bicentennial commemoration. The quilts will be on display at the Smith Hotel and the shelter house.
The quilts will be on display in the Smith Hotel from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and in the shelter house from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22.

The public is strongly encouraged to follow social-distancing guidelines and be proactive in protecting themselves and others.
