JEFFERSON CITY, MO, SEPT. 21, 2021 – The park naturalist at Annie and Abel Van Meter State Park invites the public to guided hikes at 10 a.m. on Saturdays, Oct. 2, Oct. 9, Oct. 23 and Oct. 30. Those interested should meet the naturalist at the large shelter house parking lot by 9:45 a.m.
Participants should come prepared to experience a variety of terrain; some trails may be rugged. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather, bring water and wear sturdy shoes and insect repellent.
The public is strongly encouraged to follow social-distancing guidelines and be proactive in protecting themselves and others.
