The application period for the Grid Resilience Formula Funding program is now open. The department has $13 million available for eligible measures that improve the resilience of the electric grid against disruptive events. The program will provide up to $3 million per subgrant for electric grid operators, electricity storage operators, electricity generators, transmission owners or operators, distribution providers and fuel suppliers. The department's Grid Resilience Formula Funding Program uses funding provided by the U.S. Department of Energy under the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
The department’s Division of Energy will evaluate applications on a competitive basis. The deadline to submit an application is 4 p.m., April 30, 2025. The application form, instructions and related materials are available on the department's Grid Resilience Formula Funding (GRFF) Subgrants webpage.
