The purpose of this public hearing is to provide the department opportunity to present testimony and both the department and public the opportunity to comment on the following topics:

The public hearing is not a forum for debate or resolving issues. It is an opportunity for any interested person to voice comments about the above issues. Persons that wish to give testimony at the hearing virtually, must send a notification to Krista Welschmeyer before the meeting, either by email at krista.welschmeyer@dnr.mo.gov or by mail to Krista Welschmeyer, Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Water Protection Program, PO Box 176, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0176. If attending in-person, you may send the notification as stated above, or fill out a card at the meeting location. Opportunity to be sworn in by the court reporter to give testimony at the hearing shall be afforded to any interested person.

Interested persons, whether they gave testimony or not, may also submit written comments to the department. Written comments and oral public hearing testimony are treated with equal consideration.
