The department is holding a public meeting to discuss and receive input on proposed amendments to 10 CSR 20-7.031 Water Quality Standards in response to a petition submitted by the Missouri Coalition for the Environment. On March 29, 2022, the department received a petition to amend the water quality standards to establish water quality criteria for cyanotoxins, specifically microcystin and cylindrosprmopsin, to protect recreational use of Missouri lakes and reservoirs. The documents located at the link below include the submitted petition, reference documents and a letter to the Joint Committee on Administrative Rules requesting an extension to respond.

Attendance at this meeting may be in person, by conference call or through Webex, using the information below. NOTICE: This public meeting may be subject to audio and video recording.
