Ford Motor Co. submitted a Non-VOC Plantwide Applicability Limits (PAL) Permit renewal application for its plant located in Kansas City, Missouri. The application is for the installation’s CO, NOx, SO2, PM10 and PM2.5 PALs and initial PM and CO2e PALs. The department reviewed the application and proposes to issue a Permit to Construct: Prevention of Significant Deterioration. The proposed construction will not affect the visibility of any Class 1 area.

The department invites the public to review and offer written comments on the draft permit until Dec. 6, 2021. All comments must be received or postmarked by 5 p.m. The public can review the application and draft permit below. Copies of the draft permit, all materials the applicant submitted, other than those granted confidential treatment, and a summary of other materials, if any, considered in making the preliminary permit determination are available from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Air Pollution Control Program, PO Box 176, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0176, or by calling 573-751-4817.
