A proposed amendment to 10 CSR 20-7.031, Water Quality Standards, is now available for public review and comment until Aug. 31, 2021. Written comments may be submitted by mail to the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Water Protection Program, P.O. Box 176, Jefferson City, MO 65102-0176 or online through the Regulatory Action Tracking System.

Section 303(c)(1) of the Clean Water Act and EPA's implementing regulations at 40 C.F.R. § 131.20, require that states, from time to time, but at least once every three years, hold public hearings to review applicable water quality standards and, as appropriate, modify and adopt water quality standards. The purpose of this amendment is to update the Water Quality Standards, such as variances, revisions to EPA disapproved language and updated references to documents.
