Contractors must notify the department about work to be performed at least 24 hours before starting regulated work, including:
- Heat Pump Installation
- Monitoring Well Installation
- Water Well Installation
- Plugging
- Pump Installation
- Reconstruction
- Test Hole Installation
For more information about specific requirements for each type of work, please review the department's Prenotification Requirements - PUB2447 fact sheet. If, due to an emergency, the contractor cannot submit prenotification before performing work, the contractor must report the work the next business day with an explanation of the emergency.
