The Green Building Registry® (GBR) provides appraisers with access to credible resources which document a home’s energy efficiency attributes. Now appraisers can easily identify energy efficiency features, understand the benefit these aspects contribute to the home, and account for these in the home appraisal report. The GBR pulls data from reliable and verified sources through direct application programming interface connection. All information is securely backed up to the U.S. Department of Energy’s Standard Energy Efficiency Data (SEED™) Platform and safely displayed on the home profile when accessed online. Home information and associated documentation, such as home energy scorecards and certifications, can be downloaded or viewed directly from the home profile. Access to accurate, third-party verified home energy data gives appraisers the documentation necessary to valuate energy efficient home attributes. This helps improve market uptake of efficiency in new and retrofitted homes.
