JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JULY 26, 2019 – Representatives from Missouri State Parks invite the public to an informational meeting on Weston Bend State Park at 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 10, at the park's Bee Creek Shelter, located a half mile south of the main park entrance. After the meeting, park staff will provide an interpretive campfire program entitled, "Songs, Stories and S'Mores."
Representatives from both Weston Bend State Park and Lewis and Clark State Park will be on hand to provide information about each park and to answer questions. The public is invited to share comments and ask questions about the parks and their operations.
Input from the public is important to Missouri State Parks. These informational meetings, which are being held in all state parks and historic sites, help create two-way communication with the public. The meetings give staff the opportunity to let people know the current status and future plans for the parks and historic sites, and they offer visitors the opportunity to comment on the facilities.
Weston Bend State Park is located at 16600 Hwy. 45 North in Weston. For more information, contact the park at 816-640-5443.
