JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MARCH 9, 2019 – Washington State Park invites the public is invited to take part in Volunteer Day this spring from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., March 23. Volunteers will take on stewardship and cleanup projects at Washington State Park.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. for all volunteers at Shelter 2/Big River Day Use Area. Volunteer projects will take place from 9 a.m. to noon and then from 1 to 4 p.m. A thank you lunch will be served for all participating volunteers at noon at Shelter 2, hosted by the Friends of Washington State Park.
There is no cost to participate, but registration is required. Volunteers age 17 and younger require parental signature to participate at time of registration. Volunteers 13 and younger also require a chaperone at all times. If you are interested in bringing a group to volunteer, please contact the park office prior to the day of the event at 636-586-5768. This event is free and open to the public.
