JEFFERSON CITY, MO, OCT, 25, 2018 – Do you have a passion for hiking and nature? Do you enjoy observing and learning about new plants and animals? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then join park staff at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, for a fun afternoon out in nature! Meet at the small shelter house where we will craft our very own nature journals. Once our journals are finished we will put them to use out on the trail recording our natural surroundings. This event is free and open to the public.
This event will run weather permitting. If it rains we will only do the craft portion of the program and it will be held in the Visitor Center classroom.
Van Meter State Park is located 12 miles north of Marshall on Highway 122, north of I-70. For more information about the event, call the park at 660-886-7537.
