The public is invited to attend the annual Truman Day celebration in Lamar. Activities will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 7 at Harry S Truman Birthplace State Historic Site.
This event will include a history area with reenactors representing different periods of Harry S Truman’s life. A Truman impersonator will be on site throughout the day to visit with the public. The event will include over 50 vendors, kids games, baby and toddler show, 5K and 10K run, tractor show and wagon rides. Cake will be served to the public to celebrate Truman’s 132nd birthday. The event is held in partnership with the Barton County Chamber of Commerce.
