The Missouri State Museum’s "Storytime Saturdays" program will continue in March with a series of stories and interactive programs on Missouri’s history and natural resources.  The events take place at 11 a.m. each Saturday morning in various locations throughout the museum’s History and Resources halls in the State Capitol.

"Storytime Saturdays" will focus on families with children aged 3-6 years.   Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, program themes for March include:

  • March 5:  Ella Kate Ewing, the Missouri Giantess
  • March 12:  Patriotic Pets, "Tails" of the Civil War
  • March 19:  Missouri's Rocks and Minerals
  • March 26:  Bears                            

The Missouri State Museum, which is part of the Missouri state park system, is located on the first floor of the Missouri State Capitol.  For more information about the event, call the museum at 573-751-2854. Missouri State Parks is supported by the one-tenth of one-percent Parks, Soils and Water Sales Tax, which accounts for approximately 75 percent of the budget to repair, improve and maintain state parks and historic sites.
