JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MAY 2, 2019 – Come to Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site, at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 18 for amazing and inspiring stories of African-American women enslaved in Missouri during the civil war. Join storyteller Carole Shelton as she portrays African American women in the first person. Her stories and characters come alive as they invoke empowering thoughts and emotions for the listener. Although children are welcome to attend, this free event is geared toward adults.
