Guests can enjoy spring wildflowers at Montauk State Park on April 4 and April 18. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, the events will be held at 9 a.m. on both days. Participants should meet at the park naturalist’s office for the free, public programs.
The park naturalist will lead a group in a hands-on wildflower search. Wildflower books will be available, but guests are encouraged to bring their own guidebooks and cameras. Guests will walk a short distance along a trail while searching for spring wildflowers. Participants should dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy shoes.
Montauk State Park is located 22 miles southwest of Salem on Hwy. 119 in Dent County. For more information about the event, call the park directly at 573-548-2201.
