JEFFERSON CITY, MO, SEPT. 19, 2018 – Prairie State Park invites the public to help celebrate the ancient and beautiful tallgrass prairie during its annual Prairie Jubilee 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at the park. The event is free and open to the public.

The celebration will feature a variety of activities, such as a living history loop where visitors can interact with interpreters and others to learn what it was like to live on the prairie as pioneers. Participants can listen to live music, take a ride out to see the bison and enjoy trying some bison for lunch. There will also be opportunities to visit with people from other organizations and agencies that partner to help protect and preserve the tallgrass prairie.
