JEFFERSON CITY, MO, OCT. 19, 2018 – Join Prairie State Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, and celebrate National Bison Day. We honor these magnificent animals on a day set aside to acknowledge the bison as our National Mammal. This one-ton beast once roamed the plains and prairies of North America 60 million strong. Learn how Native Americans utilized the bison, discover the impacts we had on them, sample some bison chili, make bison crafts and more!
