JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JULY 17, 2019 – The Onondaga Cave Association in conjunction with the Missouri Arts Council will host a music event from 6 to 10 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 3 in the Big Room of Onondaga Cave. Hot August Night-Cool Cave Music is reminiscent of summer evening pre-air conditioning events held to escape the heat of summer.

More information about the performers and the activities can be found by visiting the web at https://onondagafriends.org. Refreshments will be served from 6 to 7 p.m. and at intermission. No food or drink will be allowed in the cave during the event. 

Conditions in the cave include limited lighting, concrete walkways, metal handrails, cool temperature (57 degrees F) and high humidity (nearing 100%). Participants are encouraged to dress in layers of warm clothing and wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes or boots.
