Nathan Boone Homestead State Historic Site hosts Candle Making Day Nov. 16

JEFFERSON CITY, MO, OCT. 30, 2019 – Nathan Boone Homestead State Historic Site invites the public to the free program "Historical Skills: Candle Making" from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m, Saturday, Nov. 16. Turning on a light with a flip of a switch wasn't an option for residents of the Boone homestead. Join site staff to see just how much work went into "turning on the lights."

Nathan Boone Homestead State Historic Site is located 2 miles north of Ash Grove at 7850 N. State Highway V. For more information about the event, or for weather related cancellation information, call the historic site at 417-751-3266.
