Missouri State Parks returns management of Viney Creek Recreation Area to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
JEFFERSON CITY, MO, NOV. 1, 2019 – Missouri State Parks will not renew its lease with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers for the management of Viney Creek Recreation Area, effective Nov. 1, 2019. Missouri State Parks has assumed operation of the Corps of Engineers-owned recreation area since 2014. Missouri State Parks' staff discussed the decision not to renew the lease at public meetings held in Golden, Missouri, in 2018 and 2019.
