JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JULY 20, 2022 – Join author Julie Allen as she explores the realities of enslavement in Osage County, Missouri. Allen will share information from her book, “Enslaved People of Osage County,” which she began writing as she explored her own family’s connection with the county, dating back to the 1850s.

The Missouri State Museum’s “Landing After Hours” program is held the first Wednesday of the month at Jefferson Landing State Historic Site, 100 Jefferson St., Jefferson City. The Lohman classroom will open at 6:30 p.m., with the program starting at 7 p.m. Convenient parking is available in the lot next to the Lohman Building.
