Lt. Governor Mike Kehoe to welcome anglers at Bennett Spring State Park March 1
JEFFERSON CITY, MO, FEB. 28, 2020 – Bennett Spring State Park invites the public to attend the opening ceremony for the 2020 trout fishing season at 6 a.m., Sunday, March 1. Lt. Governor Mike Kehoe will welcome anglers and join guests after the siren sounds at 6:30 a.m., signaling the start of the season.
The trout season opening ceremony will take place at the Old Hatchery Building at Bennett Spring State Park. Missouri’s catch-and-keep trout fishing season also begins at 6:30 a.m. on March 1 at Roaring River State Park near Cassville and Montauk State Park near Salem.
Bennett Spring State Park is located approximately 12 miles northwest of Lebanon on Highway 64. For more information about the event, call the nature center at 417-532-3925.
