JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MAY 22, 2019 – The Missouri State Museum will present the program  "Missouri Pulp and Comic Creators" as part of its ongoing Museum After Hours series at 7 p.m., June 5. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, the program will move to the Jefferson Landing State Historic Site for 2019.

Pulp magazines and comic books, the cheap entertainment of 80 years ago, have inspired the blockbuster films of today. Join Keenan Patterson as he introduces visitors to Missouri writers and artists who contributed to these publications.

The Missouri State Museum’s After Hour events are held the first Wednesday of each month. Doors to the Lohman Building will open at 6 p.m. with the program starting at 7 p.m. Come early to explore the historic site by entering through the track-side doors before the program. The program will be held in the first floor classroom, easily accessed from the south entrance door. Convenient parking is available in the lot next to the Lohman Building.
