JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MARCH 14, 2019 – Missouri State Parks and the Missouri Humanities Council are sponsoring the Jazz Storytellers as part of the African American Musical Heritage Series from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 28. This performance had originally been scheduled for Feb. 15, however was cancelled due to inclement weather. The Jazz Storytellers feature an internationally renowned cast including vocalist Lisa Henry, storyteller Brother John Anderson, bassist Tyrone Clark and drummer Mike Warren. The ensemble performs programs that introduce folks of all ages to the sounds and styles of jazz. The performance will take place at the Bruce R. Watkins Cultural Heritage Center located at 3700 Blue Parkway, in Kansas City.
