Release Date

Children ages 3-10 will be able to hunt for candy-filled eggs on Saturday, April 4, at Hunter-Dawson State Historic Site in New Madrid. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, the Easter egg hunt will begin at 11 a.m. and is free and open to the public.

Participants should bring their own basket or bag to search for more than 1,500 candy-filled eggs. Children will be divided into four age groups and prizes will be awarded after the hunt. In case of inclement weather, the hunt will be cancelled.
