JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JUNE 7, 2019 – Hammers, iron and rock 'n roll will collide at the Jefferson Landing Historic Site on Saturday, June 15 during the fourth annual Backyard Concert Series sponsored by Missouri State Parks.
Instead of hunkering down at home, take this opportunity to "Hammer-In." The Missouri Folk Arts' Traditional Arts Apprenticeship program will host a Hammer-In on the lawn of the Lohman Building from 1 to 4 p.m. Visit with blacksmiths and their apprentices. Learn their craft or hone in on your own while watching demonstrations of their work during the event.
Traditional arts meets modern music with a concert that starts at 7 p.m. Grab dinner or have a picnic in-between then come back for an evening of music brought to you by the Rock Band ensemble of the 399th Army Band from Ft. Leonard Wood.
This is a "BYOC" (bring your own chair) event. Bring your family and friends, lawnchairs and your love for the arts and join us on the Lohman Building Lawn.
