JEFFERSON CITY, MO, MAY 20, 2019 – Summer is almost here and the prairie is gorgeous! Wildflowers and birds abound. Bison and their calves are moving about exploring. Join staff at Prairie State Park for a guided hike at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 1 to see what late spring uncovers. Don’t forget your camera! Be prepared for a 2 mile hike over uneven terrain. Bring water, snacks, a hat and sunscreen. Dressing for the weather and wearing sturdy shoes is recommended. Binoculars will be useful for looking at bison as well as other wildlife that may be out and about. Please call 417-843-6711 to register for the hike.
