JEFFERSON CITY, MO, JUNE 25, 2019 – Summer has arrived and the prairie is gorgeous! Wildflowers are impressive, the prairie grass is growing and the bison are enjoying it. Join staff at Prairie State Park for a guided hike at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 13 to see the bison and prairie in its full summer glory. Don’t forget your camera!

Be prepared for a 2-mile hike over uneven terrain. Bring water, snacks, a hat and sunscreen. Although wearing shorts is not recommended, dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Binoculars will be useful for looking at bison as well as other wildlife that may be out and about. Please call 417-843-6711 to register for the hike.
