JEFFERSON CITY, MO, OCT. 2, 2018 – The public is invited to participate in a story hike 3:30 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Graham Cave State Park.
Graham Cave was a seasonal home to Native Americans living as far back as 10,000 years ago. Join Naturalist Lorie Volenberg for this 0.3-mile, moderate level hike on Graham Cave Trail where she will share the story of how the early people lived and adapted to environmental changes over the course of 9,000 years.
Participants are to meet at the lower parking lot near the park’s interpretive shelter. They are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Insect repellent is also recommended.
Graham Cave State Park is located off I-70, between Kingdom City and St. Louis, on Highway TT, two miles west of Highway 161 at the 170 Exit, in Danville. For more information about the event, call Graham Cave State Park at 573-564-3476.
