Release Date

Guests can step back in time and enjoy Living History Day at Big Oak Tree State Park. Sponsored by Missouri State Parks, this free event will be available to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 12.

Rope making, basket weaving, flint knapping and more will be among the demonstrations of old time skills on display. The exhibits of the Southeast Explorer Mobile Learning Center will also be featured. Guests can bring a lawn chair and enjoy the sounds of bluegrass music played by "Bluegrass Revival". Barbecue, fish sandwiches and other refreshments will be available for purchase.
