JEFFERSON CITY, MO, OCT. 3, 2019 – The public is invited to come out to enjoy the Halloween Spooktacular at Cuivre River State Park. The event will take place from 1:30 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19. This year's Spooktacular theme is "The Guardians of Cuivre," which features a family-friendly themed event followed by trick or treating in the campground, a campsite decorating contest and costume contest.

The themed event features a role-playing activity where participants protect the park against ravagers. The job of T.E.A.M. Cuivre is to protect all of the resources in the park. Your mission is to visit the habitats of Cuivre and listen to the operatives who live there. They will give a briefing of the threats they face from the Ravagers of Nature. Each of the operatives are protectors of infinity stones. Once you have received the briefing, an operative will ask how to fight the ravagers. If you are deemed worthy, you will receive an infinity stone and can start your next mission. Once all stones are collected, you will become an official Guardian of Cuivre.
